Christmas spirit

As i start to decorate the house

put up the tree

hang the stockings

bake christmas cookies

and buy TONS of presents

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot coco unless we are talking egg nog and chai

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? i wrap all presents. im the wrapping queen

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I think white is so classic but the boo wanted color.. so we got color

4. Do you hang mistletoe? no. we don't really have anywhere... maybe in my bedroom doorframe

5. When do you put your decorations up? day after thanksgiving... but buy egg nog as soon as it comes out

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? Russian teacakes. they are powdered sugar type cookies. Grams used to make a batch just for me

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? My grandparents buying my cousins and i this dope grocery store/ kitchen set that we played with FOREVER

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I recognized my moms handwriting all along... way to go mom

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? My FAVORITE tradition

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? This year i bought themed ornaments, at home its random ornaments through out the years

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? LOVE IT! and HATE christmas without it. 

12. Can you ice skate? I used to.. im sure the bum knee would bust in a second if i tried

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Every year my grandma some how knew what i superbly wanted and got it for me. so spoiled

14. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Family all being together

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? christmas presents on christmas eve

17. What tops your tree? A star.

18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? LOVE LOVE LOVE giving. i tend to think i pick out thee COOLEST gifts :) but a little gift receiving is always fun

What a weekend... Part2

The boo and i have been planning this trip for quite some time

We went to a Bed and Breakfast

in a little town by our base

this town puts up TONS of christmas lights on their river walk

and plays christmas music through out the little town

and have cute little caroling groups singing in stores

and has a firework shows every saturday at 7

so we thought it was the perfect thing to do after Thanksgiving

Really this town is my christmas dream on steroids... 

THEY EVER HAD FAKE SNOW!!!

We bought nummy fudge, tried on ridiculous hats, smelt every candle in every store we went into, bought a ridiculous bright orange umbrella, and found a deal on an iphone case ($12) 

Reason #2 why i love being in the Army.. sometimes...

we went to pay for the bed and breakfast 

but they gave us the room for free 

because we were both military

its one of the best feelings in the world when people express their gratitude for you serving in the Army

and i loved that we went around the table and said what we were thankful for

i want to do that every year

Where is the love?

LOVE THIS SHIRT

Normally i never wear leggings as pants but 

this long cardigan thing made me feel like the bootay was covered.

We took the puppy to Hodges Garden to try and teach her how to walk with a leash

It ended with a minute of walking and ten minutes of mommy carrying her

Good start though!

Brownie Bites

Really i was attempting to make cake pops

but didn't by the sticks 

so they became

BROWNIE BITES

I got the recipe from here

Basically you:

1- Bake brownies

2- Let brownies cool

3- Cut off crispy edges of the brownies

4- Mash em all up 

5- Melt chocolate chips or frosting and cover them

6- Make little balls and cover in nummy chocolate sauce

7- Add sprinkles :)

8- Put in fridge or freezer to harden 

9- EAT THEM ALL!

Hopefully i can will learn how to make super awesome cake pops by christmas 

and make this:

the best day of the year

As far as I'm concerned

Day light savings is THEE best day of the year

the gift of a magically extra hour

I was reading different web stories about day light savings 

(( because honestly i forgot about it))

and one of them said to take this extra hour and spend it on yourself

I plan on going to the gym and then hitting the sauna

a little self-improvement for my extra hour

I really do love the Awkward and Awesomeness of life!

Awkward: Sitting on hold for 20 minutes.. should be a sin
Awkward: Playing with the puppy and then she starts digging.. at your butt
Awkward: No thigh muscle due to surgery
Awkward: Hooking some crazy russian shock machine up to my little thigh
Awkward: Swearing out loud at the physical therapy office when the shock machine super shocked me
Awkward: Going to three different stores to look for castor oil, wish i didn't have to stand and stare in the laxative isle and then ask if the store has it 
(Promise its for the oil face cleansing method)
Awkward: Trying to hide the new pup from the landlord because i haven't paid the pet deposit yet.. shhh

Awesome: Just had 30 days off of work (sad part = going back tomorrow)

Awesome: Just bought and started reading Bethany Frankels book, A Place of Yes

Awesome: Ordered the fur vest i wanted from American Eagle

Awesome: The pup growled and barked for the first time

Awesome: Finally buying the EOS lip balm ball and hand lotion

Awesome: I havent eaten out for three whole days <-- BIG DEAL for me!

Awesome: having those life is good moments and feeling so lucky to have the boo in my life
