Awkward & Awesome

Awkward- Logging on yesterday and blogger was down!

the awkward part is my sadness about the situation

Awkward- friend inviting me over for dinner. they made pork chops. 

i hate pork chops

i try so hard to be nice and not say anything.

awkward is the pain i was in chewing fat and eating this with a smile.

Awkward- When i came back from MN the guys sitting next to me ask

"are you hung over"

ha i was just really really tired ok!

AND

 Awesome- Qualifying with a 31 at the range

 Awesome- Going to see Bridesmaids tonight

 Awesome- My relationship with my boyfriend couldn't be more perfect.

(( and i get to start looking for places to live soon ))

 Awesome- The amazingly productive week i had. Im on top of my game this week :)

THE SOLDIER OF THE MONTH BOARD

It was so nice to get lots of congratulations

handshakes and high fives

But even better

was the inner feelings i got

after the shock faded

i am so proud of myself

i did it

i pulled my own weight

was pushed to the test

and showed everyone 

what i'm really made of

and

i am one smart cookie :)

I really didn't want to do this

i complained 

for a month straight

tried to get out of it with 

EVERY

excuse possible

(Even getting my tonsils out)

but

I knew i had to do it

and stop letting fear take over me

and

ta da!

oh yah and i was the only girl competing  

and i beat em all :)

thats the cherry on the cake 

Daily Lessons #-25 Luggage tags were invented for a reason

Meaning...

I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT LUGGAGE TAGS

or 

TEN

I put some cute lil fabric bows on my luggage

and still managed to grab the WRONG luggage

go all the way to the car

and drive away from the airport

then freak out when i opened it and

realized..

i didnt pack boxers

drove back.ran back. threw luggage and grabbed my own

i tried to be really sneaky

and the other guy still caught me

and i belted out

" I am so sorry i stole your luggage "

he just laughed

actually everyone around laughed 

I love random human interaction

Well my weekend home was 100 star rating out of 10

Im so refreshed.

I have so many blog ideas

so you will see many

blog posts soon.

but right now i must get back to evil studying

13 hours and i will be walking into a scary board room

i just keep thinking:

dont throw up

dont faint

please lord dont let me go blank

and look like a dear in head lights

be: cool. calm. collected. little bit nervous. mostly confident

my goal: answer at least five questions right

(that is if none of the above happen... if they do, ill be happy with one right)

from a friend of a friend of a friend who is now my friend :)

so i clicked

kicked back in my car

and listened

and loved just sitting there for a moment and smiling

Another!

New obsession

It is official

i am OBSESSED

with

LIP STAIN!

I have bitten berry

Cant wait to try different kinds of lip stains

It started out as wanting to "mature" my look

i didn't want to do lipstick 

i feel like it would just rub of 

on everything i drank

or just come off in a few hours

or maybe i have a stigma associated with lipstick

not ready to tackle that yet

I dont like lipgloss

because it makes me feel sticky

and bleh

So i ventured into the realm of lip stain

First i bought the cheapest one possible ($2.89 or so)

i went for an apricot nude color

and got no results

then i went with the same brand 

but for red

still no results

So then i decided 

i would have to pay more for the results i wanted

i got a plump color $6 lip stain

from Maybelline

and it was instant love

and it lasts for hours

which was tested by a night of dancing :)

i even mixed it up with the other lip stain fails that i bought 

and it looks great!

I WANT EVERY SINGLE COLOR

For someone who doesn't wear make a lot

and has had the same make up routine since

like 7th grade

this is huge

and i love it

because it is so simple

its just one thing and it makes you pop!

So fun.love it.

Daily Lessons #-24 life has surprises for you

My title is a lot deeper then my topic

Life does have many surprises 

and I love them all

(try to)

and love just going with it

(try to)

or saying my infamous "No" 

like a five year old

which doesn't change anything 

and i end up accepting the little surprise anyways

Here was my surprise of the weekend:

heres the scene:

Hair appointment @ 10 am saturday morning

EXTREMELY EXCITED

explained exactly what i wanted

option #1

told the stylist if they couldn't do that

i would totally be fine with 

option #3

(I posted the options in my last post, which i showed these pictures to the stylist)

color goes on

anticipation is killing me

color goes down the drain

nice shampoo and condition

blow dry

and

BAM!

nothing changed.

its like the color was like

"nah i dont want to do my job today"

it looks like i got baby highlights

not even full highlights because they don't even go all the way down

so life surprised me

i was not a happy camper

the stylist didn't charge me for the color

or lack there of color

which i am happy about

So this new look is going to have to have a part II to it

because part I failed

If i lift up my hair i can find little chunks of how i wanted my hair to look

so stay tuned for part II
